| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Bottle. Has a great black color with a hint of orange. The head was dark tan but wasnt as thick or creamy as a Guiness but decent. The first taste is amazing with chocolate and coffee definitely coming through. The flavor gets a little lost later on but there is a resounding Coffee aftertaste that is just great. alexsdad06 (1135), Ohio, USA

Pours dark with a medium tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate with a hint of coffee. Taste is milk chocolate, coffee (with cream and sugar), and just a hint of dark fruit. Great for tailgating before the game. From notes. wernesgruner (45), USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Black pour with a wonderfully THICK and LASTING brown head. Sorry to emphasize that, but it’s nice when the beer looks so good for more than 3 minutes. Aroma is sweet, with coffee and chocolate. Texture is a lot like Guiness, smooth and creamy. Vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel... long and smooth finish. Wow, what a surprise! I’ve seen this beer at various stores for years and never thought to try it. I like this the way it is, low abv and all. jlesage (13), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Pours very black with a deep, brown head. The texture of the beer was soft and creamy. The aroma is hard to detect but there is slight smells of malt and chocolate. No real bite to it at all. This beer was recommended to me by one of my materials professors in college before I was 21, and it was one of my first beers. Definitely one to remember! Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2007 Updated: Mar 22, 2007Pour was a beautiful ultra dark brown with just a hint red. The head was truly brown and was almost an inch in heighth. Lacing was weak. The aroma was sweet, dry chocolate and a little bit of malt. The flavor was sweet chocolate, a hint of dry smoke. For a sweet stout this is a really solid beer. If they upped the alcohol, added some hops and turned this into an IS it would be really good. Very good value.
