| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Bottle - I am really surprised to see that this is less than 5% ABV. It is really full bodied, with plenty of sweet chocolates that fade into a roasty finish. I was sure this was a little heftier in the alcohol department as I drank it. There is little hop bitterness to offset the onslaught of sweetness, but it drinks well. I would buy again, especially if my other stout choices are Guiness/Murphys. tcfishler (65), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Near-black with a 2-finger, sticky, mocha-colored head.
Sweet, rich, somewhat creamy nose. I was reminded of (milk) chocolate-covered raisins.
Round mouthfeel, but still feels lifted thanks to a subtle sensation of acidity. Sweetness is also fairly subtle, but manages to obscure most of the roasted character on the front end. It’s only in the finish where the bittersweet chocolate and cigar notes reallly make themselves known.
A stout that’s balanced and attractive enough to session but also has the subtlety and complexity to warrant more contemplative drinking. jainsv (112), USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Probably the best stout I’ve had, it has a very rich coffee color and a effervescent head. It smells of chocolate and coffee, and the taste is also very chocolatey, as well as somewhat roasted. Not bitter at all. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Bottle: Dark, dark brown color with a quickly dissipating head. The aroma is sweet - chocolate malts, vanilla extract and yogurt. The taste is chocolaty sweet with hiding the roastiness. It has a pretty thin feel and leaves a sweet flim in your mouth. Did I mention it’s sweet? IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Bottle pours a deep black witha dark brown, short lived head. Aroma is very inviting sweet, dark roasted, tootsie rolls and chocolate. Flavor is more bitter and charcoaly but still lots of sweetness. A bit of wet cardboard and very little bitterness. Soft feel but not very heavy. lingering sugary trailer. Tasty though like a dessert beer. Thanks again to Pinkzambia for bringing this one over. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Pours dark brown/black with minimal tan head. Sweet, creamy, toffee aromas, with hints of coffee. Flavor is slightly sweeter than expected, with sugary/creamy overtones, slight nuttiness, toffee notes, and some mocha/milk chocolate. Palate is medium and sweet, with a hint of chocolate like bitternss. Decent sweet stout, and great for the price @ $8 a 12. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA

Very thick brown head. Medium lasting. Aroma of chocolate, hops and a slight hint of coffee. Very creamy mouthfeel. Not too heavy. Chocolate flavor on the tongue. Very sweet tasting going down. To be honest, I was shocked on the first swallow. Did not taste nearly like I expected it to. Very creamy chocolate finish. No bitter/sour aftertaste.
