Sep 12, 2008 12oz botle: Pours dark black with a dark brown foamy head. Aroma consists of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and raisin. Sweet initial taste of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Some coffee notes creep in to give dull the sweetness. Not something I could drink all night, but great as an after dinner dessert.

Aug 20, 2008 Dark black pour with a tan bubbly head. Aroma is weak, with hints of cream, malt, and cocoa. Tastes of smokey roasted malt and mild coffee with a milky chocolate finish. Dessert and coffee all rolled up into one!

Aug 5, 2008 Form a 12 oz bottle from a World Beers box, this poured dark and black with moderate tan head and good lacing. Noe of coffee and chocolate. Rich and cream mouthfeel. Flavor of roasted malts with chocolate. Slightly bitter finish. Very good.

Aug 4, 2008 Black pour, small cream colored head. Very malty, creamy, sweet. I don’t get as much chocolate as others here however. Nothing to balance this out. Full bodied. Definetely a sweet stout. Take it or leave it.

Aug 2, 2008 Bottle. Rich black color with a strong, tan head. Muted nose of coffee and cocoa powder. Smoky, roasty flavors with a thick, but not too thick mouthfeel. Not a terribly memorable stout and could use more bitterness to even out the roasted flavors. Quite drinkable and solid.

Jul 30, 2008 Poured a very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma was of lots of chocolate mainly, and some mild cappucino. Flavor iwas very sweet, too sweet, not enough bittering at all

Jul 29, 2008 Poured pitch black with a brown head. Malty aroma. Taste was roast malt with a hint of coffee and a big dose of chocolate. Not the bitter baking chocolate you get in most stouts, but smooth and creamy milk chocolate. There may be better stouts out there, but I love chocolate. Mmmmmm chocolate.

Jul 29, 2008 (Bottle) This is the sweetest, mildest stout I’ve ever tried. It wins on texture and appearance but loses on aroma and flavour. The aroma is not particularly strong; not rich and caramelly like some of the sweeter porters. No hops worth mentioning. The carbonation is soft but present. You can taste the alcohol. Very sweet. Too sweet, in my opinion, although the sweetness is accompanied by a richness in the malt flavour that makes this one at least somewhat palatable. There is richness, but no complexity to the malt. To some degree, I would say this beer is well-executed, given that it is both sweet and bland. But the fact that it is sweet and bland, in my opinion, ruins it. Drink it perhaps as dessert, in place of cake or a muffin. Not as beer.
