On cask at the Victory Cafe. Had this today and it’s way better then I describe below, it’s a refreshing and tasty Pale Ale, especially on Cask, and deserving of a better score.

On cask at Bar Volo. Mild aroma of hops and caramel. Amber colour with no head. Flavour is too moderate, not enough hops and malt. Decent but fairly bland.

The pour reveals a slightly cloudy golden color with a medium diminishing bubbly white head. Aroma of caramel malt with mild hops. Surprisingly good flavor of woody hops and caramel malt with a mild bitter finish. The body has a medium thickness with an oily texture and lively carbonation. This pale ale is interesting, the hops are satisfyingly flavorfull.

Full malt aroma, hint of hops, copper colour, small white head with pleasing lace. Lovely malt flavour(candy for adults) nutty and hoppy. Well balanced, good tongue tingle. A really well done Pale Ale.

Draught @ C’est What. Clear orange-amber with small nitro-looking, even head. Aroma is earthy, mild with some dirty socks and diacetyl. Soft, low carbonation and velvet mouthfeel. Sweet nutty and malty flavors are nice and smooth with an off-dry finish. Really smooth and quaffable.

[548-20070819] Tap @ Victory Cafe (Toronto, ON). Hoppy citrus aroma is mildly lemony. Hazy, amber brown body with a very long-lasting creamy white head. Mild citrus hops continues in flavour with a bitter finish. Medium body. Very nice to sip on the patio, especially in such fresh shape. (7/4/6/3/15) 3.5

[779E-20071021] Cask @ Volo Cask Days 2007 (Toronto, ON; "Dry Hopped"). Citrus and hoppy grass aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with no head. Doughy yeast and mild alcoholic grass flavour. Smooth medium body. Uninteresting. (7/2/6/2/11) 2.8

Bottle direct from Maclean’s Ales. Looks fantastic - fiery orange, lots of streaming bubbles, creamy thick white head. Malty, hop aroma - very fruity. Taste is excellent - great fruity malt with noticeable hops and a very refreshing medium body. Very very fresh. I’ve had this on tap recently fresh as well and it has been excellent - a very nice little comeback. Cask at Blue Meaney. Amber Orange Colour, slightly fruity aroma. Good balance between caramel malts and slightly fruity taste. Moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Sampled at C’est What’s Spring 2005 Festival of Small Breweries. Light copper-orange colour. Aroma is earthy and subdued. Flavour starts fruity and a little buttery, and finishes with a very well balanced hop character. The flavours felt a little stale, but generally, I liked this.
