Very slight lacing. Aroma is grainy with a slight hoppiness to it. Flavor is light with a light malt and hoppy flavor. Maybe a hint of citrus to the finish. A drinkable beer. A nice alternative to the macro lagers. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 27, 2007 12oz. bottle. Aroma features some lightly tangy grain and very faint sweetness, perhaps a hint of wheat and yeast, although I have no (other) indications that this is a wheat beer at all. Clear light-medium golden yellow color with a very slight head. Flavor is similar, grainy and malty with suggestions of wheaty grain and very light lemon citrus, along with a light amount of bitterness blended in towards the finish, which is effervescent, somewhat drying and fairly crisp. Bubbly and rather thin on the palate, but not exactly watery as it does have some body to it. Supremely easy to drink. I was told this was a BMC clone, but doesn’t seem to have a whole lot in common with your typical macro-brewed American Standard, and that’s certainly not a bad thing. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 26, 2007 Bottle thanks to theisti: Pours a clear bright, slightly effervescent golden with a thin, wispy-lacing ring of white head. Aroma of grainy, slightly doughy pale malt with a touch of noble hops. Body starts fairly full for the style with a mild light malty sweetness, bready, grainy, husky notes and a touch of earthy bittering hops. Finishes crisp, smooth and well-balanced. A decent session golden ale. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Bottled at PBF, thanks Cletus! Extremely pale yellow, miniscule head. Fruity with some red berries and yeast. Light and spritzy. Kind of empty, but with some sort of refreshing crispness. More or less no bitterness. Gregis (1133), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Pours a crystal clear light yellow with one finger of frothy white head that diminishes to a thin cap at the surface. The aroma is a sour graininess with a hint of plastic; light and relatively thin while being almost creamy, it actually tastes better than it smells. Sweet, grainy and malty with an almost wheaty sourness at the clean finish. This is actually a very easy drinker; nothing extraordinary but certainly better than most BMC offerings and for about the same price. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Sampled from bottle: Pours a clear bright golden colour with a firm malt backbone. Taste of a little hops in the finish otherwise the beer comes across slightly grainy. Nose is pretty neutral. Pleasent and fresh, but lacking anything spectacular.
