Dbeers (19), , New Zealand Dec 22, 2008 malty tones golden colour with small head. malt taste. nothing special, nothing bad just another option but not a great one sdriessen (56), Dunedin, New Zealand Dec 20, 2008 330mL bottle. Aromas of straw-like hops, cut grass and malt. Slight citrus zest.
Pours golden with a rocky, white head. Exciting carbonation.
A rather bready malt flavour. Hay, some hops. A dry finish. Light on the palate. Unpleasant lingering flavour of cooked cabbage... Nothing special... SeanMacGC (119), Dublin, Ireland Nov 18, 2008 Pours pale golden, with quickly dissipating white head. Faint aroma of not very much in particular, and quite weak on the palate too, with yeast predominating in the mouthfeel. kiwibt (17), , New Zealand Oct 24, 2008 Slight hop aroma, clear golden colour with meduim head retention.
Flavour is slight malt sweetness with a slight bitterness, finishes with a malt astringency.
Overall a well made NZ lager, could be better balanced with hops and without the malt astringency. MiP (6723), Flensburg, Germany Sep 3, 2008 Bottle, 4.0%. Pale golden colour, small white head. The flavour is almost clean. Very bland. Low bitterness.
