Marsiblursi (1479), göteborg, Sweden Apr 24, 2008 (Bottle, thanks to my friend Alex) Pours clear light amber with a white head. The aroma is subtle mix of malt, hops, yeast and spices with tones of bread, a touch of caramel, light grain, flowers, mild citrus/oranges, mild resin, cumin, cardamom, oven baked red apples with white sugar and cinnamon and grass. The flavour is rather cardamom spicy and yeasty with a light malty backbone and hints of floral/woody hops. The mouthfeel is not super clean, bit numbing from the spices and light dry in the finish. Hops and spices lingers. Light sweet and medium light bitter. Light to medium bodied. TheGrandMaster (1617), Auckland, New Zealand Mar 2, 2008 Bottle, poured a clear light amber with a white foamy head. A dry hoppy aroma with some sweet fruit, but slightly metallic. A sweetish malt palate, dry and a short finish that leaves a metallic aftertaste. Didn’t hit the right notes with me. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 13, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden with a creamy, white, lacing head. Aroma of fruit and laces. Medium body, lightly sweet fruits and caramel, yeast and diacetyl before a dry finish. Quite quaffable. 050208 Plimmer (251), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 5, 2008 Light clear amber/golden body with small head. Malty sweet nose with hints of hops and fruit. Spicy elements in the taste. Generally a fresh light feeling and easy to drink. NoiZe (1055), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Jan 16, 2008 I’ve had this one in New Zealand on my honeymoon. Visited the brewery too.

It’s named the Log Burner WInter Ale. Orange colored brew. Fruity and malty. It’s a try for a saison, but with no succes. Drinkable though.
