| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Pours an inviting burnt orange with a moderate foamy white head. Very fragrant hop nose, loads of citrus oil and greenstick character. Hops are in the drivers seat across the palate, aromatic and fruity, balanced by a light cushion of sweet toffee malts. Slightly nutty, not too sweet and not too bitter. Flavourful but quite light. Very nice! bluevegie (2191), Perth, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Lovely red colour with a big beaded and lasting head. Dry aroma of Saaz hops. Taste is light and simple, more hops to this bitter than you would expect but without them this would really disappoint. TheGrandMaster (1857), Auckland, New Zealand
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 25, 2005 From tap at brewery pub. Brown-red colour with a small head. Hoppy aroma with hints of blackcurrent. The taste didn’t quite live up to the aroma though. Quite malty, I got (burnt) caramal flavours. But was also very carbonated, but maybe that is more the pub’s fault (but it is at the brewery). Not bad, but there is better in NZ of its kind.
