Commercial Description:
Rich, amber hue and full-bodied flavor begin with roasted, domestic caramel malt. It’s sweetness is then tempered with genuine Cascade hops, which are added again at the end of the boil for a distinctive, citric-floral aroma.

Canned version brewed/canned by <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/ShowBrewer.asp?BrewerID=721>Pacific Western Brewing.

12 oz bottle pours a reddish orange. Malty aroma with some hops in the background. Flavor is sweet and grainy with very little hop bitterness.

Bottle. Abmer color, clear. Quite good - nice and hoppy. Not very much body, though.

Pours a dark orange color with some froathy white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and cascade hops. Flavor is very light and watery, definite cascade hop presence but very little else. Overall, mediocre.

Good flavor, with a nice bitter bite to it. The hops are nice, but that’s all this beer has got. It seemed to be very thin, and I was left wanting more body. This beer is definitely missing something. Namely, character and body.

Rated 8/26/07. 12. bottle courtesy of ’Naka. Light Amber color. Small, white, frothy head. Earthy hop aroma, carmel and malt. Nice malt flavor, carmel and biscuit, with a mild hop finish. Not bad, just normal

Had this beer on 3/22/1999. Color is a nice golden brown with good carbonation and a good head. Aroma is very light but a bit of malt is coming through. Taste is light and metallicy. Starts with a light body that goes down smooth with a light malt flavor. Finish is also light with a malty and slightly metallic taste backed with a light bitterness and a nice hop flavor. It’s down fall is the metallic taste.

On tap at the SoDo brewery. Pours clear bright amber with a persistent and lacy white head. Light aroma of pine and grapefruit. Light body and moderate carbonation. A bit of bread and caramel in the taste. Dry finish.

This in my opinion is a beer that has really good balance. The aroma has a great hop/malt balance. The color is a nice dark amber/reddish appearance. Once again the flavor has a really good balance of hops and malt. It is my sure thing beer, maybe not great, but always really good.
