| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2007 A very slightly hazed amber pour. An aroma of light maltiness. A flavor of slightly sweet malt with a tad of bitter that is not bad but not overly impressive. A palate that is average at best for a beer that is just that "average". Not much to write home about but a beer that I would dirnk. POD (198), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Amber pour from bottle as pictured. This Ale came from a winter brew sampler box purchased at World Market. Full bodied, hearty ale with heavy sweet malt flavors. Nice hop brisk aftertaste. Very nice and I would buy it again. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Shining golden-orange body with a small, dissipating greyish head. Caramel malt aroma with brown sugar, citrus and floral notes. Medium sweet malty flavor with modest bitterness. Subdued hop character. Some sticky unfermented carbs on the palate. Passable, but not special.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Bottle. Poured an amber color with a fizzy off-white head that dissipated quickly. Hoppy floral aroma. A floral flavor mixed with citrus and a caramel background. Light body and dry. Tingly carbonation. nick76 (2694), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 14, 2006 Updated: Apr 13, 2009The aroma is respectable with grassy hops, nuts, and caramel. The appearance is mahogany with a medium sized head. The flavor is OK with a slight astringent taste, really nice caramel, and a toffee malt thing going on in the background. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s a pretty good beer but not great. haddon90 (1039), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Had this on draft at Pyramid Ale House in Walnut Creek, CA. Amber color with a faint white head. Some hops and malt in the aroma, but the taste was nothing to be desired. Kind of bland. Some sort of malt, but that’s about it. boFNjackson (1322), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2006 Poured from bottle... slightly foggy amber color with a fine white head. Aroma of hops and citrus like fruits. It had a well carbonated palate. It had a great hop presence for an amber ale. With other favors of caramel and modest malts. Finished dry and refreshing. To me, it was pretty close to a pale ale for being an amber ale, which may be why I enjoyed it so much.
