Aug 2, 2006 22 OZ BOTTLE. Good size head, dissipates doen quickly but retains a solid 1" head after a few minutes. Clear amber color. Not much going on in the smell dept. A bit of lemony aroma. Decent taste, pretty smooth and well balanced. Body is too light. Fairly hoppy aftertaste that leaves quickly. Eehhh. Average.

Jul 11, 2006 Golden, not too carbonated at all. Very pleasant aroma, a bit herbal, a bit fruity. This contrast is also present in the first few sips. Not as smooth as I had hoped, but still not too bad. I liked it.

Jul 9, 2006 On draft at Pyramid Brewery. Nice copper color with a wonderful Cascade nose. Very hoppy with a dancing citrus finish.

Jun 22, 2006 Loose bottle from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Nice pour, cloudy with bubbles at first, then they retreat to a thick head over an amber beer. Smell has some rich toffee malts and a hint of raisin. Taste is somewhat chewy, but very drinkable. Hints of smoke and maybe some lactic. Plenty more Scottish character than a plain ol’ amber. Late hops make their presence known, too.
