Commercial Description:
Rich, amber hue and full-bodied flavor begin with roasted, domestic caramel malt. It’s sweetness is then tempered with genuine Cascade hops, which are added again at the end of the boil for a distinctive, citric-floral aroma.

Canned version brewed/canned by <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/ShowBrewer.asp?BrewerID=721>Pacific Western Brewing.

Copper in color with minimal head and a sheet of lace. Aroma is caramel malt with a touch of citrus hops. Flavour is malty with some hop bitterness.

Bottle calls it a Scottish Style Amber Ale. Pours light amber with a dense antique white head. Light citrus notes, namely grapefruit, on the nose. Also slightly bready notes also. Taste is sweet and bitter. Light sweet candy notes up front and a clean fruity bitter finish. Not overpowering but not weak either. Mouthfeel is fairly creamy and nice. Drinkability is high because I could drink plenty, I just don't know if I would.

Light Amber color, quick disappearing head, a hoppy sour bread aroma, sort of sweet carmelly taste balanced with a hop aftertaste, finished off somewhat dry. Very drinkable, will try again

bottled: copper brown color large head with large bubbles that disipated quickly. some hop nose, slightly tiney smell. well balance of toffee malt flavor and cascade hops. not too hoppy for a amber but hopped enough to notice. easy to drink and not real bold. overall i was surprised. better then i thought it would be.

Bottle. Clear, ruddy orange with a medium white head and little to no lacing. Hoppy-malty aroma with light citrus notes. Mildly sweet with a dry hoppy finish, pretty thin and watery - disappointing taste. Light body, little carbonation. I expected better...

Amber colored, small white head, translusent, great looking beer. Aroma/flavor is carmel with very little hops. Balanced dry finish.

Very little head on this ale. Nice dark brown hue. No lacing. Great balance of hops and malt. I couldn't tell which one was more noticeable. The malt came on quick but was pushed out by the hops quite fast. Good ale.

Ho-hum. I like bigger beers. I guess it's ok for its style, but I prefer Alaskan Amber ale to this.
