Commercial Description:
Rich, amber hue and full-bodied flavor begin with roasted, domestic caramel malt. It’s sweetness is then tempered with genuine Cascade hops, which are added again at the end of the boil for a distinctive, citric-floral aroma.

Canned version brewed/canned by <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/ShowBrewer.asp?BrewerID=721>Pacific Western Brewing.

Dark orange body tall off-white head quickly collapsing to a sheet of bubbles. Citrusy aroma backed by some caramel malts and hop spice. Semi-sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Lingering ice tea. Pretty booring, but not offensive.

Bought in the 12 oz brown bottle with green tartan label mmm "Scottish Style Amber Ale"? pours a beautiful amber , crystal clear..unlike others I got a good sized frothy white head on this beer. Nice malty aroma though not too strong just right for my tatses. The taste is also very nicelly done a combinatiuon of malty sweetness up front which is taken over by a good hop bitterness at the end..very complimentary. Feels excellent in the mouth not too smooth yet easy going. An excellent drinkable beer. NOTES>... this is my main staple beer..its not to exspensive yet it always satisfies..this is also my camping beer( in cans)...ah i can just see those Cascade Mountain Douglas Firs with my tent underneath as the sun begins to go down..time for a fire and a few Macs!!

impressive. mild and delicious. this will work for everybody! a bit sweet with hint of caramel. great balance. a little bit watery, but it's not offensive. fantastic. this fresh and clean brew is underrated. i don't know why this hits me so well and i've had so much better. but i think this is just a solid "mild" ale.

Bottle. Lightly hoppy grassy aroma. Clear but dark amber colour. Heavy head and lacing. Light body with an understated sweetness and strong hops. No bitterness and a mild finish. Becoming a regular pickup.

More bitter than other Ambers I've sampled. Not bad just different. Didn't expect bitter finish. Not bad could definitely work itself into my regular rotation.

There were strange flaky sediments in a yellow-orange and thin beer, from the tap at a LV beer fest. Surprisingly florally hopped, this is a decent American Amber. ReRate after visiting the Portland tap house ... the beer here had a better caramel base and texture.

Good amber color with an average off white head. A lot more hoppy that what I remember, nice light carmal malt taste with good balance. Nice little cream finish to it also.
