Has a caramely taste.... but seems to be missing something. If it had a little more kick at the beginning, this could be a great beer.... but it remains a good beer. Medium to medium-heavy hopping, though not overpowering. Bitter, some candy notes, citrus. Finish was a little tinny, mouthfeel was OK. hotstuff (3176), Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2003 An average Amber Ale in my opinion. It poured a medium sized ivory head that contained fine-small sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. The body of this beer was clear with some carbonation observed and the hue was amber. The nose was that of mild hops and it had a bitter tasting flavor from start to finish. The mouthfeel was smooth and it had a thin-watery texture with a light-medium body. This beer left a fair amount of lacing on the sides of my glass. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 28, 2003 This brew poured a small head of finely sized mostly diminishing white bubbles that left a fair lacing and a lightly carbonated transparent amber brown colored body. It has a mild hoppy aroma and a tingly mouthfeel that comes from a hoppy flavored brew like this. There is a slight caramel flavor to it, but it is mostly the flavor of hops that comes though. It is a decent enough brew, but more like a IPA or a Pale Ale than an amber ale which I associated with less of a hoppy flavor that this one has. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Light hoppy aroma with notes of smooth malt. Average amber flavor; very drinkable, nice. Musky hoptertaste. Not a bad amber, very straight forward but nothing terrific.
