It takes alot of balls to keep the hops out of a beer from here but this beer, although not even close to anything Scotland has to offer wasn't bad. Very clean and crisp with a nice slight hop balance. The best PNW beer I've had. (I usually don't like em) Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 24, 2003 Nose is very citrusy, somewhat floral and hoppy, a bit of earth and grass. Pours an amber (duh) color, with no floaties or cloudiness, thin head, excellent lacing. Flavor starts with grapefruit, has an excellent malty middle, but ends a little weak. Good bitterness all the way through. Would probably buy again. papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA
