| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Different looking bottle. Pours a rich amber color with a small rocky top head. Nose is sour, stale malt, and a bit of burnt corn muffins. Taste is off and cardboard like. Just not good. This bottle may be old but I can’t see the remains of anything that was once good. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Had some age on it. Pours a near clear orangish amber with some whitish head. Nose wasn’t that offensive, floral hops and crystal malt, but the flavor had some issues. Astringent. But I can see how this would be alright fresh. Suttree (2743), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Reddish beer with fairly ephemeral head, hoppy and malty, easy on the palate. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA

Not much lace though. reddish amber color with the instant smell of crystal malts and decent hops--Cascade. You can definitely smell the hops just as they promise in the description. The balance is very well maintained in this ale--one of my favorites of the Pac Northwest crowd. Sweetness with malty overtures, but always hops there to support. A very nice ale.
