| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 7, 2007 On tap at the Seattle location. Pours clear dark brown with a lacy tan head. Sweet and light coffee aroma. Creamy medium body and light carbonation. Sweet, nutty chocolate and oatmeal taste. Bittersweet finish. Earlier Rating: 8/5/2006 Total Score: 3.2 Bottled. Pours a translucent blackish brown wtih garnet highlights and a lacy tan head. The aroma is big, with coffee, chocolate, roasty malt, toffee and a bit of smoke. The body is creamy, nearly oily/full with somewhat fizzy carbonation. The flavor is sweetened burnt toast, nuts, coffee, with a lingering resinous finish. Seems to be a porter aspiring to stout-hood. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Draft at the Safeco Field brewpub. Pours grainy, murky dark brown with ruby highlights. Medium body, soft carb. Pretty much cloyingly sweet right off the bat--chocolate and too much brown bread malt sugar, undercut with a bit of sour milk. Clingy toasty finish but not for long. I think this whole damn place ran out of hops at the beginning of summer and they’ve just been making everything since without them. BelgianBeerGal (1318), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
