Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Very dark brown pour with a decent brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and also some nuttiness. Had a rich malted flavor with some coffee bitterness.

On tap at the Seattle location. Pours clear dark brown with a lacy tan head. Sweet and light coffee aroma. Creamy medium body and light carbonation. Sweet, nutty chocolate and oatmeal taste. Bittersweet finish.

Bottled. Pours a translucent blackish brown wtih garnet highlights and a lacy tan head. The aroma is big, with coffee, chocolate, roasty malt, toffee and a bit of smoke. The body is creamy, nearly oily/full with somewhat fizzy carbonation. The flavor is sweetened burnt toast, nuts, coffee, with a lingering resinous finish. Seems to be a porter aspiring to stout-hood.

Almost black with no head. Aroma of roasted malt with some oatmeal notes. moderate chocolate, coffee, and oatmeal in the flavor with a tickly carbonation. Not really robust, but it does have some nice flavors.

Draft at the Safeco Field brewpub. Pours grainy, murky dark brown with ruby highlights. Medium body, soft carb. Pretty much cloyingly sweet right off the bat--chocolate and too much brown bread malt sugar, undercut with a bit of sour milk. Clingy toasty finish but not for long. I think this whole damn place ran out of hops at the beginning of summer and they’ve just been making everything since without them.

Bottled. Poured out a clear dark brown colour with a medium light brown head. Aroma was dry chocolate and roasted malt continuing into a well balance flavour. Nice porter.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a decent head. The taste is mostly a burnt malt with some hops. Smooth and easygoing. A nice brew.
