Pours a brown color with a nice light tan head. Has a light roasted malt aroma and flavor. Light to medium body. Nothing really stands out, good or bad. A decent Porter.

Dark brown, with a tan head. Aromas of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavors are roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Nice.

Mmmm, tasty! Lovely toasty malts, caramelly, vanilla, some chocolate, maybe a little anise. Nice aroma, though a little sharp, and a tan, fairly dense head (which unfortunately dissolves to nothing too soon). It might be a little too sweet for some, but it’s smooth with a mild, satisfying linger on the palate, very little bitterness. Quite good!

Bottle. Dark brown color with tan head that didn’t leave any lace. Roasty vanilla aroma. Slightly sweet on the tongue with a nice roasty flavor accented by subdued anise.

Bottle: Black with a tan head that dissipates quickly. It has a nice chocolate aroma and a fairly tangy, bitter charcoal taste along with some Nyquil. The feel is thin and it leaves a little something to chew on in your mouth afterwards. Not bad.

Comes in a small (12 oz) bottle. Pour it in a glass and get no head at all. Unless you really splash it in the glass in which case you do get some foam but without much consistence (forget about that nice guinness head). Color is very dark. The nose is pretty lame IMHO. Not too much in it apart from some roasted malt. Body is pretty thin for a porter. Taste is quite sweet, a bit of hoppiness in the back of your tongue. The overall is too sweet for me. I cannot to drink a whole bottle by itself. I can only drink it while eating. I guess it is too sweet. Drink it fast: the carbonation goes away very quickly!
