Semi-transparent ebony with a fizzy, small, quickly dissapating tan head. Malty chocolate mocha aroma with a hint of plums. Flavor is fairly light with chocolate malt and a hint of molasses.

12oz. bottle. Very dark red-brown with a small foamy light tan head. Muted hop fruitiness with chocolate and a mild roastiness in the aroma. Toasty, nutty malt flavors with hints of caramel. Some bittersweet chocolate. Residual toast in the finish with a faint hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light, somewhat thin feeling and fairly dry.

Bottle: Aroma had some roast and milk chocolate. Black body with thin tan head. Flavor was sweet roasted flavor at first. A couple of gulps in got some creamy texture but body is also thin. Rest of the way just an average roasted chocolate mild sweet flavor. Dry aftertaste on palate.

12 oz bottle, via Bück Dich. Pours a clear dark mahogany with a small fizzy light brown head that quickly faded to a thin ring. Sweet malty nose with with some roast and milk chocolate. Chocolate malt and lighter roasted malt flavor up front fades to a dusty, almost lactose laced, finish with a little oat character. Mouthfeel is indeed creamy in texture, but a little too carbonated for my tastes. A pretty decent Porter, if you like them on the sweeter side. I’m more for the coffee/roasty type personally, but this was enjoyable.

Pours very dark with a dark, thick head. Decent sweet roasted malt aroma. The flavor is sharp, yet watery with just a hint of hops.

Pours a dark reddish brown with thick tan head. Very very faint aroma of roasted malt and brown sugar. Flavor is thin with a watery grassyness and a weak chocolate finish. The mild carbonation unfortunately steals the show for me... Disappointing.

Courtesy of Ohiodad <P> Aroma is roasted malt and grassy hops. Deep black with a thumb thick white head that quickly fades. Fore is low intensity hops, watery, grassy and then some smooth chocolate flavors come in before it gets watery and slightly lager-spritzty/crisp again. The roasted/chocolate/coffee notes I expected were either absent or very muted.

Black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of brown sugar and caramel. Mildly roasty flavor with some coffee paired with some grassy and earthy hops. A solid porter.
