Pours black with some ruby notes around the edges. There’s a thin head that quickly diapears some mild lacing. Smells are all subdued: Chocolate, some coffee, and not much else going on. Taste mild chocolate, and coffee, rather mild for this style. There’s a very thin mouthfeel to this beer that is not very satisfying. There’s just not that much going on with this beer. Smell does get slightly better as it gets warmer, but that’s about it. Drinkabilty is decent due to the fact that the flavors are mild, and there’s very little bitterness present.

Neh. Plain, a lil watery, better than cheap beers but not worth the money. Very one dimensional. I dont taste the cream or the porter. The flavor is very subtle and undistinguishable. Dis brewskie is pooskie.

In the bottle from Dirty John’s. Pours black with a sepia brown head consisting of flat-out enormous bubbles. Chocolate aroma. Head dies rather quick. Mild carbonation. Body is a little watery, but has a fine sweet and hop-balanced flavor. First drink was a little bit metallic, but that sensation is lost quickly into the beer.

At KC Biermeisters meeting. Pours dark brown, nearly black with a khaki head and some floaties. Aroma is roasty, it seems one-dimensional, just roasty malt. Taste is sweet, roasty, coffee. The mouthfeel is a bit thin.

Not as good as I thought it would be. I guess I’d say it was "smooth" but it was also lacking something. It almost tasted a bit artificial, like the ingredients weren’t top quality or something.

Bottle. Pours a deep black color, no light penetration. Nice light brown head formation that settles and leaves good lacing. Aroma is lightly chocolateand something I can’t place. Medium bodied, smooth palate, medium to low carbonation which helps increase perception of creaminess. Flavor runs towards light chocolate and Slight nuts. Really rather bland, a bit of a letdown. I can’t place what is going on but something is lacking.

This smells, oh whats the word? Ah, horrendous. And the tate matches the aroma. I would say this tastes more like a nasty Natty than any porter I’ve had, and while it gets slightly better as it warms, its still bad enough that I’m saving it for someone else to finish.

Draft. Blackish beer with an off-white head. Roasty aroma and flavor. Flavor adds some sweet malt backing. Easy to drink. Medium bodied. Straight forward.
