Aroma has lots of chocolate, moderate roasted coffee, and some light vanilla. Pours a dark brown with some orange hilights. Small tan head does not last long. Very creamy up front with chocolate, cream, and light vanilla. Roasted coffee and grain come into play in the finish but it’s a little watery and has a slightly metallic taste too. A tad thin as well. Gets off to a good start, but goes downhill shortly after. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA

Nose of vanilla, chocolate, & roasted malts. Flavors match the aroma, the finish is slightly bitter, mouthfeel was very thin. Overall this is good, but I was slightly disappointed, the words ’creamy porter’ had me drooling, but this one couldn’t quite match the name. hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a dark black with red at the edges with an averaged sized light brown head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. Tastes of the same. Toasty. Lightly bitter. Pleasant coffee aroma, bordering on Starbuck’s. Flavors are straightforward but enjoyable, coffee, bit of chocolate, smooth, slightly bitter finish. Not fancy, but enjoyable. wiseman (6), Washington DC, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Great smooth, slightly sweet and chocolatey porter. A little bitter, in a good way. Another beer I always get it if I see it. jamin2002 (1), USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2005 Out of a bottle, $6 for the 6-pack at Trader Joe’s. Nose of espresso and a bit of cream. Very smooth, with a strong coffee taste, and a bit of milk and cocoa. Finish is slightly bitter with a hint of sweetness, lingering on the palate. Great all-around brew, very easy-drinking but substantial. Could be a bit more full-bodied. however. DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA

Smells of cream and chocolate but not very strongly. Tastes creamy and chocolaty but not enough sweetness to it for something referring to itself as a cream porter. Short decent aftertaste but it doesn’t coat the mouth at all.
