Dark and black pour with a slight tan head. Aroma is pure roasted malt with a little sweet toffee smell. I got a good toasty malt flavor from every sip. Creamy body and thick enough to remember. A little bit dry at the end and a small amount of bitterness. I liked it as much on the first sip as I did at the last. This one is a keeper. One of the better porters I’ve tried to this point!

Bottle (thanks Steve). Deep black in colour with a thin tan head. The aroma was quite sweet and sugary, small amounts of roasted malt and some vanilla. The flavour was sweet upfront, slightly toasted in the back. Smooth, creamy medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes fairly quick with a mild bitterness.

Nice creamy head. Too bad it didn’t last long. BIG roasty flavors at first then followed by some dry hop bitterness. I expected it to be creamier A tad more depth of flavor(fruit, chocolate, etc..) would be nice. Still not a bad porter but there’s far better out there that I’d reach for first. One & done.

Black beer with a tan head. Aroma is roasty and malty. Taste is quite good with roasty malt, coffee, and chocolate notes. Not too sweet or bitter, nicely balanced and flavorful. I liked this porter right away.

Dark and brown with minimum amount of head created. Nose is faint but some roast malt, chocolate, and small hint of licorice. A lot of carbonation for a porter and it is quite plain in flavor also. Small toasty malt, coffee and milk is barely the flavor i pinpoint.

Dark, thin mocha head. Nose quite sweet, some roasty chocolate bitterness. Lightly sweet malts, chocolate and cocoa, bits of smoke, molasses, and licorice. A mite oversweet at the end.

I was very impressed by this beer. Very roasted but not too sweet or chocolately like some cream porters. Something worth having in the fridge.

Pours black with a bit of ruby color when held to the light. Roasty aroma with a bit of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is a sweet malt with bitter chocolate and coffee. Smooth but light mouthfeel.
