Pours a deep, opaque brown with a thick, tan head. The aroma is very inviting. Hints of coffee and molasses and toffee. Rich, creamy mouth feel. Delicious flavor combines the aroma elements but not as sweet as one would expect. Quite a good drink.

(750ml bottle) Almond head and an opaque body. Toffee and SKOR bar nose. Tart initially with a unidimensional porter taste. Average.

Nice deep dark color with a burnt tan foamy head. Wonderfully roasted malt aroma. Roasted flavor with a hint of mint? and citrus to it. Very tasty.

Deep dark brown with ruby glints. Head starts out tall and khaki, hich collapses to a few islands. Sweet roasty aroma with a hint of earth. Roast is throughout the taste with some hay in the finish. Solid porter.

Very dark brown to black, but holding up to light (and inspecting my bottle after pour) this beer is filtered to all get out, it seems. Nice off-white head that is moderately small, but lasts for a while. Aroma of nutty roasted malt, some drier chocolate and some brown sugar, but mainly dry toffee/roast. Begins with a very true roasty taste that sits on the palate throughout and is quite enjoyable, a good honey sweetness comes out but there is something else here as well, vanilla, light anise??? very very subtle. Anyways, finishes with a lightly chocolated malt, some more nuttiness and an ample dose of moderately bitter hops. Very pleased with the balance. The hops hide at the beginning and are slightly perceptible in the middle, adding a touch of bitterness, but are quite tasty on the finish. Overall, it dosent pour on the flavor, but is the model of balance. Medium to light body, maybe a bit too thin as it warms. Also, after it finishes, which it does quickly, there is almost nothing; no aftertaste, no lingering of flavor.

Pours dark brown/opaque with a thick, frothy tan head that lasts quite a while. Excellent lacing. Aroma is smoky with roasted coffee, chocolate, and maybe some molasses. Flavor is similar, but not as sweet. Has more carbonation than many porters and alcohol is present. Still very smooth with a nice bitter bite on the finish. Creamy mouth feel. Among the better porters I've had.

Poured a non-opaque black with red hints color with a small tight creamy light tan head. Creamy, slightly alcoholic?, grainy aroma. Creamy, chocolate, coffee taste. Full mouthfeel, although slightly bittering as well.

Bought in the 12 oz brown bottle with blue tartan label!!! The beer pours very nice,,leaving a dark mahogany brown colour with a large tan head , which fades slowly..so good so far.. Smell is the usual roasted malts but with a creamy, milky scent in there too. Taste is pretty good though not spectacular at all, good enough malty taste in the front..but the bitterness doesn't seem just right..though after better tastes surface..brown bread, butterscotch..coffee..its ok. Slightly above average in the mouth..leaves a good trace. Its drinkable Ok but I wouldn't rush out to buy this even if it were on sale..its ok though
