Great aroma. Roasted bitter coffee and dark chocolate. Malty and light hops. Touch of smoke. Small tan head atop dark red/black beer. Heavy watery body and medium heavy carb - a bit chewy. Malty and smoky - lots of coffee and bitter chocolate malts. Roasted bitterness and tangy. Good level of sourness, sweet and dry. Nice after. A good porter. Rich in taste, medium complexity. Malty and smooth.

Extremely pleased with this brew. Looks like a stout but drinks like a soft porter. At first I was a little hesitant to try this beer, because I just wasn't up for something heavy like an average porter or stout (suprise, suprise). However, it ended up being exactly what I was looking for. Very nice deep brown to black color with a nice fluffy white head and left a nice trail of brussels lace. Nothing really jumped out in taste, but it had a very smooth mouth feel with very light tones of chocolate. Very enjoyable and goes extremely well with shepherds pie.

Black like a coca-cola. Not much of a nose, except for some cabbage. Some type of banana leaf soaked in rice oil.

Near black; decent head; tiny hint of ashy coffee in the nose. Dirty coffee to start. Medium body. boring.

The deepest darkest brown color, almost pitch black with a nice head. The head itself seems to be in three layers (off white, tan, and a darker beige). Nose is all oatmeal. This is thin and a bit oily. Lactose, sweet and acidic at the same time. Some coffee undertones. I don't like the aftertaste at all. Too sweet and milk-like. I puke if I even smell milk. ugh.

Dark, pours nicely, not a large head, I was surprised at the lack of a hop bite that west coast porters tend to have. I found it a bit thin but could use this as a session brew if called upon.

Very nice, reminds me of their Portland Stout. This is like a thin, sweet stout. Dark in color, nice creamy, coffee flavor. Tends to lose the head rather quickly. I'll drink this one again.

Good porter. A little light on flavor. Flavor is mostly roasted malts. Very soft mouthfeel.
