Bottle. Pours very dark brown with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and oats. Taste is the same as aroma with tons of coffee and bitter chocolate. Medium thin creamy mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness. Very good.

Oct 5, 2008 12 oz. bottle from mashmaster. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head that is mostly lasting. The aroma is creamy roasted malt, chocolate, and light coffee. The flavor is mostly roasted malt, chocolate, and a touch of light coffee. There is an earthy quality to this as well. The finish is dark chocolate and bitter black coffee. Seemed a little thin early, butevened out to a medium bodied beer. This has exceeded expectations.

Oct 2, 2008 Bottle pours a dark clear brown with ruby highlights and ring of dark tan head. Reminds me of a milk stout. Roast, chocolate, cherries in the nose. Some molassis, a hint of lactic sourness,with an earthy dark roastiness in the flavor Chewy medium body. A chalky, ’dirt’ finish.
