Feb 21, 2002 Clear ruby/copper with a very thin edge head. Light carbonation. Fruity aroma (cherries) with some caramel malt and earthy hops. Medium body, fruity, spicy and lightly sticky. Tremendous English Old Ale qualities, although weaker. Lightly bitter and mildly sweet. Not an intense amount of flavor, but solid (a la Young’s Winter Warmer). Finishes slick, juicy and dry. Feb 9, 2002 An unorthodox negative-ten degrees windchill out right now... what a perfect beer to be drinking. Rich, malty, and sweet. A touch of spice, but not too much. Truly ’perfect for fireside sipping.’
ReRating Addendum: Deep red color, very inviting, fresh arom. Very rich & malty with a nice hoppy zing. Toasty-goodness.
