Full creamy head, aromas of malt, wood and peat. Deep brown, almost black color. Nice mouthfeel, slightly sweet with a full bodied malt profile, notes of chocolate and coffee. Dry finish, very little aftertaste, very smooth. One of the best porters I have experienced.

This porter pours with a black body topped by a medium thick, fizzy, brown head with little lacing. The aroma is sweet yet sour and bitter with strong bourbon notes, alchol notes, a touch of malt and a bit of licorice. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter with slight bourbon notes, nice roasty coffee notes and a touch of licorice. Full bodied, tingly on the tongue and slightly dry.

One of the best beers ever made, no seriously, this is an amazing porter, carmel, chocolate taste run through your mouth fiercely with a hazelnut finish and a bourbony tang at the end, very creamy and rich. I love this beer, buy as many as you can before they run out.

Its really hard to see these end production, such a great brew. Pours a rich black color with a nice off-white head. Sweet aroma almost like irish cream, very roasty. Taste is incredibly smooth and roasty with a hint of coffee.. Great malty taste with a slight alcohol hint at the end. Excellent brew

Bottle. Creamy liqeur quality, sweet, smooth milk chocolate and roasted malt, sweet shot of bourbony alcohol at the end. tasty, but sweet. Re-rate: Tap@Pyramid Alehouse. Honey nut liquer, some chocolate and roast, smooth milke chocolate. Sweet. Same score.

Black with a big tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast and coffee. Creamy body. Flavor of roast and smoke. Dry finish. Not really that good.

2003 bomber sampled in May 2004. Pours a very dark ash brown, with some blacks and dark orange tinges. Small beige head that stays around. Translucent with some sediment sitting in the bottom. Aroma of deep, raw bourbon, bittersweet and powerful. Flavor is highly bourbon charged, with a good dry roasty body. Has some vinous notes, a somewhat creamy consistency (odd for a bourbon aged porter). Good complexity, and though it’s dominated by bourbon flavor, it tastes wonderful and has a solid carbonation that gives it a firm tastey mouthfeel. Quite good and demanding of a second sample to fully figure out this beer. I still think it’s a bit overboard on the bourbon flavoring though.
