Bottle... This beer rocks!... Very dark, black hole-like ale. Medium-sized, beige, frothy head. Leaves excellent lacework. The aroma is divine. Vanilla, chocolate, caramel, coffee and sour mash whiskey. Some really nice, toasted macadamia nuts in the nose as well. The flavor is of roasted almonds, vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel, bourbon and a touch of cinnamon. Well-balanced. Medium-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, dryish, silk smooth finish. Excellent Brew!

I’ve had this only once. I bought a bottle and fell in love immediately upon opening it. When I went back for more it was gone. Woe is me....

Nice black color, small tan head that faded a little to quickly.Nice roasty malt coffee aroma, sort of semi-sweet as well.Whoa this brew kicks ass, chocolate and roasted malt then you get a nice hit of bourbon and wood and maybe even a smoky side as well.It is surprisingly smooth and the hops are there but in just the right amount not over whelming at all.Hell even my wife likes it,and she doesn't like much beyond my homebrews,The finish is chocolate and coffee and smooth as hell with a nice mild coffe chocolate after taste. You seem to just get a brief blast of bourbon and thats it,just a teaser.I'm not afraid to give this a perfect score because it's a damn fine brew and i know what i like. Rerate:After trying a few bottles more i might have to knock this down a little not that it changed so much but after further review it's not quite a perfect score but still close.

This could be the very best porter to be unleashed upon the world. Black as night with a beige head of thick froth that you can scoop with a spoon...and anjoy as a merengue-like appetizer. If you close your eyes you can smell the bourbon behind the sweet malt, chocolate, and coffee that comprise this masterful brew’s bouquet. This brew is as smooth and yummy as anything I’ve ever tasted, rich, creamy, full of fruit, cocoa, and some of the aforementioned whiskey! At our last 3 beer tastings, this has been the hands-down favorite. If they should ever make this available on tap, I will buy a keggerator that same day...and die a happy man.

One of the best beers ever made, no seriously, this is an amazing porter, carmel, chocolate taste run through your mouth fiercely with a hazelnut finish and a bourbony tang at the end, very creamy and rich. I love this beer, buy as many as you can before they run out.

Opaque balck with big tan head. Aroma of chocolate baklava with woody tones. Burnt Malts. Smooth and very creamy chocolate, yet not oversweet. Nice twangy overtones. Dry coffee and wood finish. Wonderful mouthfeel, chewy. Highly recommended. Thanks TAR!
