Commercial Description:
Weighing in at nine percent alcohol, Grand Luxe will sandbag the unwitting with its pale straw color, mild hop flavor, dryness and alluring head of foam. A true Belgian Triple, Grand Luxe is made with unmalted wheat, spicy Belgian yeast and genuine Belgian candy sugar, which contributes to flavor and alcohol content alike.

Golden hue with small off-white head. The aroma was fruit (apple and strawberry), honey, grassy hops, sweet roasted malts, clove, and Belgian yeast esters. The taste had a acidic fruity nature combined with a sweet malty base. Some spice detected upon the finish. The mouthfeel is lively and a touch watery. Okay tripel, needs more body and complexity. Alcohol was well hidden.

Pours a clear gold with very little head, suprisingly, and not much lace. I should say here that I'm not drinking it in a "proper" glass, which may account for the shortcomings, if any. The bottle (nearly $7) is a bomber with a golden triangle surounding the beer's name, style, and a nice rendition of some hops. Rather classy looking, I must say. Smells light and fruity with a hint of cloves. Tastes really fruity: apples and apricots are noticable. It is quite sweet and a tad spicy. A friend who tried it said it tasted like "Juicy-Fruit" and he has a point there as much as I hate to admit it. Mouthfeel is very creamy and full. Drinkability is very good, much better than most tripels I've had. I could easily enjoy several of these. Bottom line: Very nice beer and definately worth a try, but for nearly $7 for 22oz, I won't be having many of these for a while.

Golden yellow with no head. Sweet fruity aroma of honey, apple, peach and doughy bread. A moderate mouthfeel. Sweet flavors of peach, apple, orange and some yeast. Both spicy and doughy. Also present are fruity esters. More of an average tripel.

Hazy golden amber. Nicely phenolic aroma, hints of clove and pepper. Light malt. Fully sweet with a light fluffy body, phenolic tones floating all over. Very nice tripel, outstanding really. Westmalle yeast?

Light cloudy yellow. Sweet honey and clove aroma, with a sharp and sweet flavor. Very similar to New Belgium trippel. Sharp and crisp finish of apples and alcohol. Very good.

Bottle. A golden orange color that bubbles, but didn't form a head. The aroma has strong spice (corriander) and fruit. The flavor has apples, pear, clove and a nice belgian tang to it that stays in the aftertaste. It's a bit watery (not as bad as many) before the alcohol kicks in and finishes dry. It doesn't rank great (thought not bad), but its drinkable if you want something to try something different.

Bright clear, orangey amber color, decent head formation. Cleanish spearmint aroma. Sweet clean bubble gum minty malty flavor. Lightly spiced.

Not terrible but somewhat of a letdown. Peachy, apple smell, taste is of apples and then the alchohol overpowers everything.
