Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Jun 22, 2009 Light yellow pour with minimal white head. Aroma is malty with a light bit of citrus hop. Flavor much the same, but with that flat sort of cardboard quality you get in some pale ales. Not my favorite thing out there. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Apr 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a one finger white head that faded fast. The nose is fruity and sweet malt. The taste is grain, malt and more faint fruit. Lighter fairly flat body. Not much of an APA. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 29, 2008 Pours a light golden colour, little to no head. Decent lacing however. Hardly any pale in this ale. Taste is a little bland, soft hops and a little fruit. aroma is a little stale. a10555 (123), West Chester, Ohio, USA Dec 31, 2007 Not an outstanding beer, but it didn’t suck either. Nice hoppy flavor and a good clean finish. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Sep 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with thin white head. Aroma is heavy with malt and very little else with just a hint of floral hops. Light in body, a little on the flat side, and some stickiness. Flavors are moderately sweet and lightly bitter with herbal and lightly lemony notes. Finish is dry though with a lasting floral bitterness. I’m not sure where the heather is in this but it must be what I’m getting mixed in with the floral hoppiness in this brew. Well balanced however slightly thin in profile at times. Nice beer. mikey (336), farmington, Utah, USA Feb 19, 2007 Poured a cloudy, golden orange color with a modest white head with good retention. The nose was fruity sweet hops, a nice touch of apple juice with floral notes and faint pale malts. The taste begins with a nice splash of spicy floral hops, followed by pleasant apples, a medium bitterness and a bit of malt husk. The finish had a pleasant lingering floral bitterness balanced by residual sugars. Very nice and quite interesting. This was a great find. keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Feb 10, 2007 Hazy amber with a citrusy flavor. Very refreshing. Would be good after cutting the lawn except it’s about 10 degrees in NJ today. I’ll rerate in July. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Nov 5, 2006 A pretty bland ale. Nothing really going on flavor or appearance-wise. Slightly, only slightly malty. Expecting somethign along the lines of a traditional bitter (which this seems to be advertising itself as rather than a pale ale). Pleasant but boring. Pretty flat pour fromt he bottle. Light golden amber color, and slightly sweet on the tongue. (Bottle Pour 10/30/2006)
