Commercial Description:
Highlander is a remarkably unique ale that combines the fruity character of authentic Scottish ale yeast with the delightful hop bouquet of our own distilled hop oil and a "kiss" of Highland heather. Used in Highland ales throughout the centuries, heather adds a touch of herbal sweetness that blends beautifully with the floral hop aroma to produce an exceptional infusion of fragrance and flavor. The result is an extraordinary crisp and refreshing pale ale.

Pours a light yellow almost with almost no head. Nose is sweet and citrusy. Not much of a noticable palate. Not too striking of a pale ale.

I don't care for APA's, but this one was drinkable for me because it was missing a lot of the hoppy taste. At the same time, this was a very flat and bland beer.It poured a medium sized white creamy head that contained fine sized bubbles that mostly dissipated. The body was clear with a lot of lively carbonation observed. The hue of this beer was golden and it had a malty and a lightly hopped nose. The flavor was malty with some hops and was on the bland side. The mouthfeel was tingly, smooth, thin, watery and light bodied. It left an excellent lacing on the sides of my glass.

This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a fair lacing and a transparent orange colored carbonated body. Its aroma is a mixture of bread malt and hop with a little yeastyness thrown in for good measure. The mouthfeel is very smooth for a pale ale with just a hint of hop bite to it. The flavor is a bit on the mild side with elements of malt, hops, bread and mild spices. Some of the things that make a good pale ale are missing from this brew, but I don't mind them besing missing as they make this beer more likeable by me since I don't aprticularly care for pale ales to begin with. That said, I prefer this one over several other I have known! Very smooth and drinkable by me.

Very clear golden color with good head and lacing, nice floral hops in the aroma, citrus and pine. Flavorful for this clarity and small body.

Straw hue, no head or lacing. Aroma was grassy, earthy, floral hops, tropical fruits and peat(?). Starts fruity tasting but dies quickly. Slight bitterness and dry finish. Thin-bodied, watery mouthfeel. Bland, very poor beer from a good brewery.

Golden in color with a white frothy head. Aroma is lightly malt with floral notes. Flavor is fresh and clean with a solid hops punch. Smooooth.

Golden color, small white fast fading head.mild malt aroma with a decent floral and hop presence. The taste started with a chance at being pretty decent but that faded pretty fast mild maltiness,Medium hop beginning that faded to malt very quicklyto later leave you with a semi-sweet malt after taste with just a hint of hops and just a small, small hint of fruit to it.The feel is a bit dissappointing it starts out some what bold but gets thin pretty damn fast.I'm not saying it's a bad brew actually,i believe it's pretty decent and fairly drinkable well worth having a few around.

For such a light pale ale, I think this one is pretty good as well as refreshing. Sweet malty flavor, honeyish like sweetness (probably the heather part) and a nice lcrisp bite in the finish. One of those beers I like to grab a taster of at work when things get a little busy.
