Taste was very fruity with a sweet aftertaste. Wouldn't say this is a everyday beer, but wouldn't be ashamed to be seen drinking it. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | May 9, 2003 Most likely the clearest 'micro' brew i've ever seen. Unusually light for an APA. After I saw the pour and took a small whiff, I figured this beer would be horrible. I log onto the site and find out that the average rating is pretty high. There is absolutely no head on top of the beer. The smell is very faintly hoppy but more fruity and sweet. The first sip reveals some instant flavour, mostly hops and a little crisp citrus taste, but very small. This was more of a pils than anything else, and somewhat reminded me of a bad reproduction of a Hop Pocket Pils or a Prima Pils. I guess my instinct was right about the colour and the aroma. I don't know how this beer got rated so highly. There is almost no aftertaste and the flavour hits instantly and lasts for 2 to 3 seconds. Light in colour and not a great smell. All those factors add up to a sub-standard beer and a poor representation of an APA. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 9, 2003 Tastes like distilled daffodils. Unimpressive, lager -like ale with little to discern itself from macro swill. MMM...Beer (385), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 26, 2003 Hoppy nose, sweet, fruity taste, and a simple crisp finish. Overall not a bad beer. Have it again, but wouldn't search hither and thither for it. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 19, 2003 Light yellow clear color. No head to speak of here. Some barely tracable hops and malts - similar to their amber. Really clean taste with a dry finish. Kinda watery - not much taste going on. WabashMan (817), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2003 I have to say that I wasn't impressed with this one...I had hoped for more. This starts with a fairly light golden color and white head. The aroma is the highlight of the beer, with a nice hop character. The flavor, however, is a letdown, in that is not hoppy at all and kind of watery. This could have been much better. aobecksy (661), Middle of no where, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 7, 2003 Light coppery color, decent head, woodsy smell. A decent drink, but harsh on the palate, too carbonated. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 18, 2003 Light copper color with a nice head. Aroma is hops surrounded by pine. Taste just like their Amber ale, a light version.
