Hints of pine, old grapefruit and lightly toasted bread. Fairly sweet throughout the quaff. Odd sort of butterscotch, pineapple and basil amalgamation. A touch too sweet and it starts to get thick and cloying. As I reach the end of the bottle I am getting some eggnog flavors with a touch of nutmeg. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2005 Serviceable pale ale. Nothing exceptional, but worth the $1.25 that I paid for it. I’m not sure it is worth much more than that. Picked up as part of a 6-pack at Brennan’s University Avenue location. Metalhead (572), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Decent enough pale ale with a faint herbalness in the middle and a slightly dry finish that made me decide to eat along with this. Nothing stellar but a good enough session beer. JFGrind (1360), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Just an average hoppy APA. Nothing Scottish in this golden colored average pale ale. Worth sixty-five pennies I paid for it, but not much more. Pailhead (2610), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 21, 2005 Bottle: Moderate cookie malt aroma with a light floral and citrus hoppiness. Pours a golden-amber with a small white head that diminishes quickly. Relatively nice lacing. Flavor is light. Light cookie malt flavor up front with barely any hops. Slight floral hops appear in the finish, but they are incredibley light. Easy drinking and smooth, but lacking in any significant flavor to be great. 1FastSTi (2591), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2005 Sampled this beer from a bottle, it pours to a shiny copper/gold body with a creamy white head. Good lacing. Light haziness. The aroma is sweet floral hops, honey?. It smells like that 0 shaped cereal that’s healthy, brown, sweet and very grainy. I can’t recall the name. Arrgh! The flavor is apricot kolaches, floral hops. Decent. I do taste the heather. I wish that I had some heather honey right at the moment. That stuff is the best tasting honey I’ve ever had. (Flashback to my Scotland trip). Light herbal undertones on the finish. The palate is refreshing but pretty watery and weak. I like the uniqueness.
