Commercial Description:
Highlander is a remarkably unique ale that combines the fruity character of authentic Scottish ale yeast with the delightful hop bouquet of our own distilled hop oil and a "kiss" of Highland heather. Used in Highland ales throughout the centuries, heather adds a touch of herbal sweetness that blends beautifully with the floral hop aroma to produce an exceptional infusion of fragrance and flavor. The result is an extraordinary crisp and refreshing pale ale.

Very Good. Nice Fruity blast right off the top. Could not put my toungue on the exact fruit i was tasting, but it kind of tailed off as it warmed up.

A deep golden ale with a thin white head, this did have a whiff of an herbal aroma similar to heather ales that I’ve had. Mainly it carries a mild flowery scent. I would’ve liked a heavier accent on the malt. Still, it has a nice feel and gives a crisp, clean drink.

Well, interesting. High carbonation faded to modest bitterness followed by a fruitiness which was not sweet. My first impression was that this was a pretty darn good pilsner. Not a typical pale ale for sure, but I liked it and would be easy to drink several.

bottled: had 6 diff macs last night. this was #4 in the string. pours amber with a small tan head. nice piney grass nose, biggg; somewhat of a tease when you expect it to have more of a hoppy flavor, but not much bittering hops added. pretty mellow on the palate. easy to drink and crisp and dank.

Very light yellow-god. Tart and crips with a fruit-salad overtone. Good flavorful ale.

Bottle - Golden amber in color with a slight white head that disappeared quickly. Very good hop aroma, but light on the hop bite. Light palate; a clean/crisp beer. They call it "herbal", but it does have a floral essence to it. Drinable, but I would have liked more hops.

Bottle. No head and a light gold color. Slightly sour at first in both the taste and aroma. Then oranges come out in both the taste and aroma. A very light pale ale. A decent entry.

Aroma is grassy and very weird, smells like rubber in a way. Pour is a clear blondish color with a quickly dissipating white head. Start is mild, leading to more of that grassy maltiness in the end. Very one dimensional. Dissapointing.
