It had a nice head and lacing. Rather odd, it was a truly "incomplete" beer in my opinion. egajdzis (3636), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2003 Poured a golden color with a small, quickly diminishing white head. Floral, perfumey, malt aroma. Caramel malts and hops. Rather weak mouthfeel. Reminds me of an English Pale. Reid (1092), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2003 Bought in the 12 oz brown bottle with a red tartan label.
Pours a rich golden yellow with a smallish head which goes quicklly to a nice lace down the glass.
Strong smell of malts and something else maybe the heather"extract" as it is floral..strange but intrigueing.
Taste.. very crisp and fresh..not much malts but notice the heather ( i have had fraoch before)..a little bitterness near the end..not too bad.
Nice carbonation and a dry finish seems to complement this brew.
Very drinkable iondeed could polish of a few of these in no time at all

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2003 Sparkling clear, straw-colored ale. Very small, creamy, white head. Decent lacing.
The nose is of light caramel and grapefruit. A touch buttery.
The flavor is well-balanced, but thin and watery. Very mildly-bittered. Fizzy mouthfeel with a short, crisp, clean, dry finish. GreatStelle (360), Chico, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Oct 24, 2003 Very light color, with no head. Way to light for a pale. Drinks like most lagers. Where are the hops? A little citrus flavor. The first bad beer I've had from this country. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2003 Golden-amber color with a small white head that dissipated rapidly. Aroma has nice slightly smokey malts, a little peach, hers from the heather and citrus hops. Flavor has sweet malts, a little honey and tartness with the floral hops. Medium body with nice carbonation. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 19, 2003 Floral, fruity hop aroma, some pine, citrus and wood, the heather is there, but is very subtle. Light-medium golden in color, clear, with a lasting, rocky head. Flavor is quite hoppy, with notes of flowers, pine, some citrusy fruit and just a small amount of light malty sweetness. Relatively thin, smooth mouthfeel, light bodied. Could use a bit more in the way of depth. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 5, 2003 This was a very good Pale Ale. Boulevard to this date is still the best I've had. This could be a top 5 though. Depends on the rest of the Pale Ales on my schedule whether they stay up there. I liked this one very much
