Smells lightly of malt, along with floral hoppiness. The flavor is dry hoppiness and a sweetness that I presume is the heather. A clean mouthfeel. hopscotch (5543), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2003 Sparkling clear, straw-colored ale. Very small, creamy, white head. Decent lacing.
The nose is of light caramel and grapefruit. A touch buttery.
The flavor is well-balanced, but thin and watery. Very mildly-bittered. Fizzy mouthfeel with a short, crisp, clean, dry finish. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2004 Yellow color. Aroma isn't too great... some hay and sweet honey, with a small hint of hops. Flavor is moderately good. Couldn't call it bad, just a light and crisp wheat/lemon/honey flavor, but the key being crisp. Could be a good lawnmower beer. Cornfield (4975), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Mainly it carries a mild flowery scent. I would’ve liked a heavier accent on the malt. Still, it has a nice feel and gives a crisp, clean drink.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Light golden color with a big bubbled tapioca looking head. Hints of pine, old grapefruit and lightly toasted bread. Fairly sweet throughout the quaff. Odd sort of butterscotch, pineapple and basil amalgamation. A touch too sweet and it starts to get thick and cloying. As I reach the end of the bottle I am getting some eggnog flavors with a touch of nutmeg. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2003 Very clear golden color with good head and lacing, nice floral hops in the aroma, citrus and pine. Flavorful for this clarity and small body. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2006 Gold in color, with splotchy head. The aroma was hopcity with some malt. The flavor had some citrus and pale malts up front, giving way to some hop and pine elements in the rear. Medium palate. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 30, 2004 Head is initially small, frothy, white, fully diminishing. Body is
medium yellow. Aroma is moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly
yeasty (dough), lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain). Flavor is
moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly
sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture,
lively carbonation. Mostly average and rather boring. And a very
misleading label (if you don’t look closely, you’d think this was a
Scotch Ale).
