Bottle: Orangish straw, certainly hazy, moderate to large sudsy white head, spotty lacing, vibrant carbonation.   Seems like green and black peppercorn on the nose, maybe even pink?   Regardless, pepper dominates.   Otherwise light straw/hay/grass and an even minor funk.   Pepper up front, pale wheat malt like flavors on the backside.   Pepper lingers for quite a while, providing a decent dose of spiciness.   The floral aspect of this Saison is minor.   Somewhat dry and even a little bit tart.   Soft pepper lingers for a while on a background of straw/grass and hay.   Not bad, certainly different.   Wished the floral aspect was a bit brighter.   Felt a little heavy for a Saison.   Otherwise, interesting to say the least.

22 oz. bottle. Smelled like grainy macro lager. Tasted like Budweiser with a dash of black pepper thrown in. No Belgian funk at all. No spice at all. Misleading and disappointing.

(Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemongrass, pepper, light barnyard, and citrus. Flavor of peppercorn, citrus, grass, subtle florals, and yeast.

Nose of lemon, peppercorns, spicy yeast, light sweet banana. Pours cloudy golden yellow, thinnish head. Lots of lemon in the flavor initially followed by dusty yeast, banana, and a good deal of pepper in the finish. Medium carbonation, light body, decent drinkability. Another solid offering for 2.99.

Bomber served in an English pint. Ultra clear pale straw in color. Sparse tiny bubbles float up from the bottom of the glass. Large white head that doesn’t last long, leaving a foamy lacing. Massive pepper on the nose. Interesting. Light body, thin texture. bitter palate, and lingering finish. I’d hardly compare this to belgian farmhouse ales, though some elements are there. Little carbonation on the palate and lacks complexity.

Bomber. Pours clear gold, with a thick and lacy white head. The aroma is spicy, slightly floral, with fruit, grass and bread. Medium body, lightish carbonation. Sweet taste of peppery melon. Interesting, but I’m not getting the ’stinger’ quality.

Poured a clear light gold beneath an enduring, creamy white head. Aroma was well spiced and pleasing to inhale. Taste very much the same; I had expected far less flavour from this one. Mouthfeel was only average but overall, I am impressed.

Bottle: Pours an orange color with a nice light white head. The nose is spicy with yeast and light doughy malts, some caramel and a snap of noble hops. I’m not getting the peppercorn much, as it’s already so spicy from the yeast, but it’s a welcome addition. The flavor has a nice zesty mouthfeel and a lightly sweet/yeasty body. Refreshing, a little on the sweeter side for a saison, but it’s good.

22oz Bomber
Aroma: Has some pepper more roasty malt and light earth tones.
Appearance: Amber in color, slight haze with a light head.
Flavor: This was very interesting good malts then the pepper sneaks out and really has a good flavor. There is some heat.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Nice Spicy Mouthfeel.
Overall: One kick ass spicy beer with pepper added. This was hot in the after taste perfect for Mexican food.
