| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2005 2004 bottle courtesy of Larry Pitonka: Pours a transparent deep, dark mahogany with a thin, lightly lacing tan head. Lots of sweet caramel malt and some bock character in the aroma. Body has lots of western hop presence, which isn’t quite to style, but still tastes good. Dry, earthy caramel and a touch of sweet wheat are also evident. Has a touch too much biting carbonation. Hints of subtle diacetyl in the sticky, dry finish. I wouldn’t really call this a weizenbock, but it’s an ok winter warmer. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

And what’s with the low scores? Pours dark amber with a nice beige head. Aroma is very malty with some caramel as well. Flavor is just abiut the same with some spice. Maybe a little too carbonated, but very good overall. GuilTTy (538), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2005 Rich dark amber with deep red highlights inder a fluffy bit quickly dissipating white head. Spicy aroma of lightly roasted malt, hops, pepper & apricot. Nicely balanced flavors with a little fruity sweetness and hop bitterness with a solid malt backbone. Crystal clean finish. A very tasty Winter selection. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 26, 2005 Mahogony with ruby highlights, aroma is caramel malty sweet with tinge of hops & spice. Flavor follows aroma and includes raisin and nuts accented nicely by the hops and spice. Quite well balanced and flavorful, alcohol bite in the finish would suggest stronger than 6%. Good stuff.
