| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2005 Included in part of a sampler pack I got for Christmas, thanks Paul! This beer was a pleasant surprise. Appearance was darkish amber with a tan head that faded fast. Aroma of caramel and leafy hops, quite nice. Flavor matched, along with a note of nuttiness on the finish. Very well balanced and quite tasty. Nice. Cornfield (4980), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2005 This has such a strong barley malt aroma and taste that I never would have identified it as a weizen bock. Still, it’s very good - whatever the style. It pours a rich mahogany color with a fair sized tan head. The aroma is quite malty, little (if any) of the wheat is evident. The aroma is caramel and toffee with a pleasant spiciness. The hops make themselves known in a mildy bitter finish. Nice winter drink. eboats (901), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2004 Couldy orange/red with a tan head. Aroma is nutty with figs and a roasted smell. Taste: mild chocolate, fig, dark fruit, toffee. All are mild but present. Ends with a cardboard staleness. Some mild bitterness in the aftertaste and a good amount of carbonation. jasonp (1514), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2004 Nice clear dark brown/mahogany with an off white head. Aroma is lightly malty and hoppy with some cherry thrown in. Taste has notes of chocolate, roasty malt, dark fruit, caramel, toffee, molasses and a some nutmeg/cinnamon. Good level of sweetness with a roasty, slightly bitter finish and a slight alcohol tinge. Very full, round and creamy on the palate with lively carbonation. Lacing hangs in sheets, good head retention. Nice brew. steve23mj (273), Essexville, Michigan, USA
