| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 24, 2004 Clear strong ruby tinted amber coloured body with a thick tan head that lasts long. Aroma of cherries, strong hops, caramel, nutmeg and egg nog. Actually, a really good smelling beer! Medium-bodied; Initial taste of spices, caramel, sugars and malt then showing signs of hops, bitterness and some tart fruits. Aftertaste is nice because it shows some fruityness, spiceyness and hoppiness. Overall, a fairly complex beer-definitely better than what I thought I was getting, so if you can find this one...try it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased today at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 23-December-2004. sethdude (603), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2004 Pours a cola color, nice lasting tan head on top. Nose is nice and hoppy, with some wheat in there as well. Flavor begins with slight citrus, then moves on to a warm, malty bock section, then an earthy, mildly bitter finish. Vey nice. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2004 Nice and malty, tastes of pine or spruce tips a bit. Hops blend very well with the mellow malt profile. I wish there were just a bit more oomph behind it and in the finish - winter warmers are always best when strong and warming. A bit unadventerous, and they need to work on the aroma and appearance for sure. Odeed (1677), Bakersfield, California, USA

the frost had a nice ruby red body with a 1/2 inch head that fizzed out to just a bot of foam around the edges.the aroma is caramel and what i think smells just like cat food!?luckily the feline feast didnt show up anywhere in the flavor.it just contained some hops, and caramel malts.not to bad.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2004 A pretty decent weizen bock. When I was buying some winter beers at the store, I grabbed this and jack frost and some other more expensive beers. And I was already looking at the Jack Frost like "this looks kind of bootleg" and then I see MAC Frost and I think, "this is super bootleg" . But it was better than I thought it would be. A nice surprise 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2004 Bottle pours a deep dark red, large frothy off-white head, attractive lacing, with very light carbonation. Lights malts, slight over-ripened fruit on the nose. As it warms a light hop profile appears. Comes across as a syrupy like fruity flavor, much like that you would get at Dennys. Slightly matly and bready. Hint of a wheaty mouthfeel. Medium body (albeit boring), medium to thin mouthfeel. Finishes very uneventful, slight hop bitterness, with underlying malt background. Doesn’t seem as tasty as last years...
