Aroma is a foul licorice and barnyard touch like a strong version of Anchor Christmas Ale. Overall, a strange experience but fairly tasty. May be past its prime. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

Aroma is spiced with caramel, slightly nutty. Kinda watery, slightly metallic with brown sugar and there is a background that presents itself in alcohol. Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA

Deep dark red color, beige semi creamy head. Has a rich aromatic hop aroma. Taste doesn’t follow aroma well. Taste is dark and roasty with a strong hop pressence. beerinmarch (2791), Washington, USA

Taste starts quickly with a kick of sweetness, warm caramel, and with a spicy edge. The finish on this brew was not all that great leaving a cocoa tasting chalky film behind with a dry bitterness. Still a very warming brew and probably one of mactarnahans better brews. frylock (1024), Buffalo, New York, USA

Dark reddish brown beer. Yummy Barley Wine - like aroma of malt and spices. Very nice flavour, like a cross between a malty Irish Ale and a Barley Wine.
