Commercial Description:
Editor's Note: Formerly Woodstock IPA, now known as Oak-Aged IPA.

Woodstock IPA is an authentic wood-conditioned India Pale Ale with the distinctive flavor of the British Empire’s original. Traditional IPAs were distinguished by rich hops, which were generously added to preserve the beer during its long overseas voyage between England and India. They were also characterized by striking oak flavor, as the beer made its journey in wooden barrels. Woodstock IPA matures in oak and is dry-hopped during the aging process to bring you the classic style.

When you get past the beautiful coppery red color, you have gotten past the best this beer has to offer. The aroma is not properly assertive, and even given the high-hop expectation the taste is not well-balanced according to the type. The aftertaste is unpleasantly organic as well as metallic.

Amber to orange in color with little to no head. You can definitely taste the oak in this beer. Not as bad as some IPA's i've had.

Sparkling clear amber body topped by a foamy off-white head that morphs into a thin sheet on top and weeping sheets of lace. The aroma is quite floral and sweet. The flavor is nice, the wood is detectable but is very mild. The flavors are mainly sweet and flowery. Medium bitterness and much more English in style than American. Overall a pleasing and drinkable brew.

Pours golden and clear--looks like no other IPA thus far. Odor is oak and sweet like honeycomb and bitter, but dominated by bitter wood. Flavor is intriguing: powerful oak flavor with actual honeycomb nestled into it(took a while to figure out what that was). Medium-light body, kind of foamy, nice lacing from the white head. Overall: initially disappointed that it wasn't really an IPA, or maybe a bit TOO traditional for me. Nice and bitter, but the first bottled tasted like sucking on a cork and the next two had nice wood flavor with the honeycomb(3 separate days for sampling). I think it has too much flavor from the wood and not enough from hops; it's far too blondish, like generic lager.

White head tops a dark amber body. Earthy aroma, floral, fruity. Flavor starts sweet, some grapefruit, subtle evidence of oak aging. Pleasant drink.

Decent lacing, ok head, copper color. Hoppy aroma with like a sweet floral/tea scent to it also. Really is not hoppy enough at all, the wood adds a nice touch though. Hoppy (But not enough)/Fruity flavor, that the sweetness balances it out. Overall (to me) it is just an average IPA, could have been a lot worse though. Just wish there was more hops.

Light red in color with a small white head. Lots of bubbles on the side of the glass, but that might be the result of a less than crystal clean glass. Picked up some grapefruit, a hint of sugar, and the mandatory hops, the piney kind. Predominatly(big word) hoppy taste, but that was to be expected. The subtle sweetness and oak is what made this fun to drink. Yes, thats it, it was a fun beer to drink.
