Commercial Description:
Editor's Note: Formerly Woodstock IPA, now known as Oak-Aged IPA.

Woodstock IPA is an authentic wood-conditioned India Pale Ale with the distinctive flavor of the British Empire’s original. Traditional IPAs were distinguished by rich hops, which were generously added to preserve the beer during its long overseas voyage between England and India. They were also characterized by striking oak flavor, as the beer made its journey in wooden barrels. Woodstock IPA matures in oak and is dry-hopped during the aging process to bring you the classic style.

Nice amber color with average head. Nice citrus fruit aroma, with the flavor to match. Almost a granny smith apple start to the flavor. Well balanced on malt and hops. Nice finish of bitterness.

Color is a clear ambery orange with a large loose bone white head that fades and crumbles slowly to a substantial foamy thin crown on top that lasted nearly the whole glass. Lace in ink blot patches. Smell has a good dried hoppy aroma with a nice overlay of drywood. Nice toasty caramel malt backing. Taste is quite mellow with softer notions of hops lending dried and fresh variants with some dryish sweet bitterness with a oaky woodyness adding to some of the bite but yet keeping eveything solidly balanced in the dryish pine sense. Malts lend a nice little backing of toasty twinged caramel keping an even balance throughout the taste and adding to the finish which doesn't last very long but doesn't seem necessary for what this beer is about. Feel is a little thin, a touch lighter the most in the body but the finish is quite nice leaving just the right amount of oaky and soft hop bitterness. A super nice drinkin' IPA, mellow, somewhat soft and flavored and balanced well, the oak aging really adding some nice notions to its character. A favorable IPA, I liked it and so should any IPA lover. Its no hophead blast in the face, but still damn good for what it is.

Sparkling clear amber body topped by a smallish beige head. Aroma is floral, orange, pepper. Taste is mildly sweet, earthy, floral, some pepper, light grapefruit, light oak. Dry finish. Medium body. Not very bitter, pleasant English-style IPA.

I am not a fan of IPA's to say the least and this one was just way too bitter tasting for me. It poured a small sized white, smooth, creamy head with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly dissipated. The body was slightly cloudy and carbonated with an orange hue. The nose was hoppy, fruity, sweet and peaches(?). The taste of this beer was very bitter, hoppy, sour, tart, sweet with a lingering aftertaste. The mouthfeel was tingly, thin and a bit watery and medium bodied. The lacing was fair.

Light amber, almost orange. light tan, medium head. My girlfriend, who doesn't care for IPAs liked it. Could definitely taste and smell oak and caramel. Not bad, but not hoppy enough for my taste.

Malty, moderately sweet, good bittering, citrus and butterscotch. Caramel, alcohol and grain aroma. Edgy, mildly astringent medium finish. Fun label, orange-citrine beer.

I'm assuming this is the same as their "Oak Aged IPA" with an elephant on the label. Nice nutty aroma which turns to an overripe fruit sweetness (in a good way). Thick white head with a light amber appearance. Not your characteristic IPA - more nutty than citrusy. More malty tones than most IPAs. Hops find their in near the tail end and make their presence known. Overall a decent IPA and a nice change of pace from the norm.

This brew poured a large head of off white colored fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a carbonated light orange brown colored body with a little yeast in it and a fair lacing. The aroma is a medium strength malt hop one with the hops dominating. The mouthfeel is all hop bite and lingers well into the finish. The flavor is mostly all hops and some caramel behind the scenes. A little on the strong side.
