Commercial Description:
Editor's Note: Formerly Woodstock IPA, now known as Oak-Aged IPA.

Woodstock IPA is an authentic wood-conditioned India Pale Ale with the distinctive flavor of the British Empire’s original. Traditional IPAs were distinguished by rich hops, which were generously added to preserve the beer during its long overseas voyage between England and India. They were also characterized by striking oak flavor, as the beer made its journey in wooden barrels. Woodstock IPA matures in oak and is dry-hopped during the aging process to bring you the classic style.
Specs: Original Gravity 15.5, Specific Gravity 1062, Hop Bitterness 45 IBU

Pours a rich amber with a good size off white head. Nose is flowery and sweet. Taste starts sweet followed by a strange hop bitterness and finishes sort of dry. A nice light IPA.

While claimed to be British styled, I would clasify this as a cross between the US and UK versions and a well done one. It is not overhopped but you know it is a complex IPA

Decent hoppy aroma and nice malt balance - a bit sweet. Woodiness. Deep reddish amber clear with off-white foamy, lacing head. Medium watery body and medium carb. Good taste. Deep body - malts, woody. nice level of hops. Not too bitter, well balanced. Bitter nutty finish and after. Dry and mellow.

The aroma is strongly hopped, but also has an underlying breadiness to it. The wood is evident but not overpowering. Caramel and a touch of wood balance the citrus and pine hops. Not extraordinary, but rather easy to drink.

Nice color and decent head start this one. A nice aroma, mostly hoppy and slightly citrusy, follows. Flavor is pretty good, though needs a little more depth to make this a great IPA.

Awesome aroma... The oak-aging leaves delightful aromatics & can also be noticed on the palate. "Get some hops!!!" :P
