Commercial Description:
Editor's Note: Formerly Woodstock IPA, now known as Oak-Aged IPA.

Woodstock IPA is an authentic wood-conditioned India Pale Ale with the distinctive flavor of the British Empire’s original. Traditional IPAs were distinguished by rich hops, which were generously added to preserve the beer during its long overseas voyage between England and India. They were also characterized by striking oak flavor, as the beer made its journey in wooden barrels. Woodstock IPA matures in oak and is dry-hopped during the aging process to bring you the classic style.
Specs: Original Gravity 15.5, Specific Gravity 1062, Hop Bitterness 45 IBU

Now this is how an IPA should taste. Aroma is reminiscent of sitting out of the porch of a log cabin in the woods, very earthy and woodsy. A generous amount of hops really bring out the taste of this beer. It has a very aged flavor to it, highly recommended.

I’m biased - this is the only brewery I own stock. A very good IPA, wonderful woodsy flavor and a nice hop finish. A really good beer.

Well the ratings may be low on this one but I loved it. BBeautiful amber color with a solid head. Aroma was hoppy with enough maltiness to be detectable. Imigh be imagining it but I thought I could get the oak in the nose as well. Flavor was almost he same as the aroma with the oak being far more noticable, long finish. Very enjoyable beer.

A great flavoured beer. The flavour was overwhelmed by an oaky taste, and it only makes sense that I find out that its a wood-conditioned beer!

Not a favorite of mine. Nice head retention, decent hoppy aroma but i didn’t like the sharp Oak flavor on top of the hops! Kinda not my taste

Didn’t like this one. Amber with long lasting head. It had a decent hop nose, but the hop flavor seems kind of off.

woody aroma, berryish and watery with minimal hop presence for an ipa

Thats a change for the better...usually when the aroma and appearance are so-so, everything just seems to go downhill from there but this was a nice surprise. Aroma of mild hops, good and citrusy, complete with a bit of malt..very subdued. A pour of a deep orange color like the inside of a nectarine...crystal clear with carbonation and a nice creamy head layer..small but just enough to tickle the tongue with small bubbles. The taste though is where this surprise is hidden. Strickingly smooth!!! As you sip you can feel the hopping bitterness hit the back of your throat before it even goes in...subtle malts give way to an interesting blend of hops. The oak is not very apparent..only in the aftertaste...but it does have a strong..i would almost call it a darkening effect on the hops, enhancing and rejuvinating their effects long past the usual hop endurance. A very pleasant drink with a beautiful blend of hop aging and malts.
