Toasty, dusty, woody flavour. Mild bitterness. Even-handed flavour. Hints of vanilla and herbs (sage, mint) round off an indistinct maltiness. Fairly sweet interpretation but with some unique flavours. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 2, 2003 Updated: Nov 3, 2003Crystal clear, beautiful, amber-colored brew with a small creamy, off-white head.
The aroma is of grapefruit, light bourbon and oak.
Nicely-balanced. A little thin; nothing really distinctive in the flavor, except for a late appearance of some moderately bitter hops.
Light-bodied with a thin, oily mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.
The finish is lengthy, bitter and dry. Leaves a lingering, bitter and oily coating on the tongue. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
