Commercial Description:
Editor's Note: Formerly Woodstock IPA, now known as Oak-Aged IPA.

Woodstock IPA is an authentic wood-conditioned India Pale Ale with the distinctive flavor of the British Empire’s original. Traditional IPAs were distinguished by rich hops, which were generously added to preserve the beer during its long overseas voyage between England and India. They were also characterized by striking oak flavor, as the beer made its journey in wooden barrels. Woodstock IPA matures in oak and is dry-hopped during the aging process to bring you the classic style.
Specs: Original Gravity 15.5, Specific Gravity 1062, Hop Bitterness 45 IBU

Awesome aroma... The oak-aging leaves delightful aromatics & can also be noticed on the palate. "Get some hops!!!" :P

Big time hop aroma, nice head didn't last long though but ok.flavor was hoppy as hell but very smooth not harsh bite in the taste or aftertaste just very smooth the first IPA that didn't make me cringe from the hop overdose and the only IPA that i would recommend drinking more then 1 but could easily have 5,6 or 7 with no ill effects from the hopping.Very well done.

Aieee, it's a hopdevil! This is actually a very good beer, but it's lack of richness and body made it miss the mark as a great beer for me. However, it's initial spicy hop rush makes this beer very tasty indeed!

2nd tasting: Bright amber with medium fading head. Rich, spicy and slightly citrusy hop aroma. Warming toffee or caramel malt aromas. Generally toffee-sweet malt profile with a light peppery hoppiness and drying finish. Some lingering caramel malt and resiny hop flavors. Round malt sweetness. Nicely balanced and subtle. A classic traditional IPA, and in my opinion one of the most accurate depictions of the original IPA’s. 1st tasting: Grassy hop aroma - British hops? Unexpected for a PNW IPA. Woody flavor with more grassy herbal hops and a mild bitterness. Medium body and rather smooth. Unique, interesting, fairly complex and very nice.

Wow! What a great beer! Bitter, but truly palatable. An IPA for both the beginner andthe pro drinker. Affordable, yet still stylish. I only bought a bottle of this, but will definately have a six for my next party. Bitter taste, yet still palatible, slight tinny tones, but clear brewed, I know little about the brewer, so someone please enlighten me. This was a great beer for me.... I have no complanints and liken it to the Ballantines IPA of old.

Looked an inviting warm amber-orange with a good head. There's a medium hop aroma. It's followed by a very woodsy and earthy hop-malt balance. The oak conditioning is definitely present and well done. I like this beer quite well.

Re-rate. While the bite goes away rather quickly, it sustains enough to be quite enjoyable. Original: 3.1-This beer looks and smells fantastic--if only the taste were as comparable. For some reason, the extra hops in this beer don’t make it better.

They have changed the name of the brew to "IPA Oak Aged", it's the same brew. Amber hue with a large frothy head and excellent lacing. Aroma is very fruity and piney with a large oak undertone. Hints of smoke, spice, and sweat. Nice crisp hop and malt balance, smooth and very English. Bitter and dry finish. The medium to full-bodied beer has a creamy and soft mouthfeel. If you are a fan of the traditional IPA style, you should seek out the beer now! Highly recommended.
