Commercial Description:
Here’s the original honey beer. Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness. To craft the beer, we enlist the talents of several million local bees for their pure, white clover honey. Our brewmaster then blends the ambrosia with select, two-row barley malt and balances it with prized Willamette hops. While the bees reluctantly part with their honey, The Great American Beer Festival enthusiastically receives it, as they’ve awarded OHB a silver medal in a category with more than 60 blonde ales.

12 oz bottle via Cost Plus World Market. Pours a crystal clear yellow. TIny white head. Nose is honey with some floral hops. Taste is honey, then some toasted grains, and finally some citrus hops. Moderate carbonation. Light/medium body. Surpised at the low ratings. I quite like this beer and it would be a staple if i could more easily obtain.

Pours pale yellow w/ a medium spritzy froth. Aroma has a touch of raw honey. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers creating a spritzy texture. Flavors are basic malts w/ a splash of honey residue. A dry and uninteresting brew. Finish is moderately bittered w/ residual grassy nuances.

Bottle. Very clear orange pour with a medium and fizzy white head that left minimal lacing. Nose was light malt with a sweet odor that I supposed ia to represent honey. Mourhtfeel is oridnary, and flavor is mialt, hops, and citrus. Don’t taste the honey. Not bad, but it is hard to see how this won an award.

Bottle poured a clear pale gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of bread and honey. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread with hints of honey and citrus with a crisp lightly bitter finish.

Poured from bottle. Clear, gold color with thin white head that faded quickly. Aroma of citrus notes. Tastes sweet and malty with a smooth finish. It’s pretty bland, not bad, but I wont be buying this again. I wish it had some more hops and more of a honey character.

Light clear amber white head. Citrus and a bit of stale aromas. Clean lager taste but not much else going on.

Tap at Kahootz: Light gold color with a small white head. The aroma is light citrus. The taste is sweet and malty with a light wheat aftertaste. The feel is thin and the taste all around is sweet. Even though I don’t like the style or this beer that much, it still is quite easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. This one is a very clear and golden color looking very lagerish. A small foamy head sits up top with fast moving bubbles. The aroma brings not much of anything, a tiny bit of honey, a tiny bit of bready yeast. The flavor is a lot of the same, mainly bready yeast and smoothly drinking light maltiness. Not much honey is able to be picked up in this one for such a loud title on the beer. A bit of a citrusy hop not comes through near the end before a quick finish. Very easy drinking and a bit refreshing, but in general fairly boring.
