Commercial Description:
Here’s the original honey beer. Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness. To craft the beer, we enlist the talents of several million local bees for their pure, white clover honey. Our brewmaster then blends the ambrosia with select, two-row barley malt and balances it with prized Willamette hops. While the bees reluctantly part with their honey, The Great American Beer Festival enthusiastically receives it, as they’ve awarded OHB a silver medal in a category with more than 60 blonde ales.

Gold in color, with a foamy white head. Tastes like a mediocre ale with added artificial sweetness.

Bottle Pours extremely light golden. Poured agressively, a small fizzy head is all that could be coaxed. No real lacing. Aroma is a bit of apple and maybe tea. Taste is something that I am trying to find something good to say about it. Its light, it’s thin, dont detect hardly any hops...any real flavor actually. Pretty forgetable.

light head. Subtly honeysweet nose. Crisp, silky palate. Enthusiastic barley and hidden honey flavor. Lightweight summer drink.

This reminds me of a boring Anchor Steam. Weak aroma. Fizzy vanishing head. Some hops up front, heffy-like in the middle and finishes sweet and--are you ready for this--honey like. Actually, the sweet stays with you for a while. It’s enjoyable, if unexceptional. I think I may have had it a little too warm. We'll as I work my way through the six.

Thanks to my future sister-in-law for this one. Not a bad beer. Good honey flavor all the way through.

Clear yellow and very sweet and smooth. Light and clean with a tangy ending. Decent light ale for the everybody crowd.

This was a less than impressive beer, from a brewer that is usually slightly impressive. Not overly sweet with a bit of toasty malts, with a crisp aftertaste. Boring.
