Commercial Description:
Here’s the original honey beer. Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness. To craft the beer, we enlist the talents of several million local bees for their pure, white clover honey. Our brewmaster then blends the ambrosia with select, two-row barley malt and balances it with prized Willamette hops. While the bees reluctantly part with their honey, The Great American Beer Festival enthusiastically receives it, as they’ve awarded OHB a silver medal in a category with more than 60 blonde ales.

Very light beer. Light taste, smooth, silky body. Not much flavor tastewise. Light yellow color.

Bottle. Small creamy and smooth white head and fine-small sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. Softly carbonated, transparent and a yellow hue. Malty and skunky aroma and a malty and bland flavor. Smooth mouthfeel and light bodied with no lacing. Not recommended.

Weak aroma with a less than impressive color. First taste is sweet then fades to a clean crisp aftertaste. Good relaxation beer if you want a hint of sweetness.

This bottled brew poured a large head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lace. The body was a transparent uncarbonated weak orange color. The aroma contained notes of mildly skunky malts and honey. The mouth feel is astringent mildly biting at the start and smoothens in the finish. The honey notes are not sweet. The astringency of this beer ruined it for me. The flavors are of off tasting malts and poor honey. I’d rather have a mead over this one. Pass.

At this point I realize that I rate differently from most people at ratebeer. I score points for a beer when its exactly what it says it is. Again in this case. Its an ale, but it also tastes like the label says it should. Honey beer. I’ve had McTarnahans and I really like their stuff. This won’t set the world ablaze but it is what it is. Very nice brew.

I like the sweet smell. But other than that it’s pretty boring. Too sweet for my taste.

Pours a clear fizzy yellow with minimal head. Aroma is sickly sweet, flavour is like a sweet macro.

There is really just nothing going on here. It's thin, weak and and finishes poorly. Sorry, but if I'm being honest, it's simply just a waste of time.
